A Dorset leisure company operating luxury lodges and a campsite on the Isle of Purbeck is celebrating an exciting double.
A few days after being nominated as a national finalist in The Great Outdoors Awards, Burnbake Forest Lodges has been shortlisted for the Self Catering Accommodation of the Year category in the 2018 Dorset Tourism Awards.
These finals will be held at the Lighthouse in Poole in November.
And in the Great Outdoor Awards, Burnbake has been shortlisted as Campsite of the Year, alongside 13 other sites as far and wide as Snowdonia, the Lake District, North Yorkshire and the Isle of Skye.
The lodges and the campsite are situated together in woodland between Corfe Castle and Studland.
General Manager at Burnbake, Christine Wyburgh, said: “It is turning out to be quite something of a year for us.
“As well as these two nominations, we won the self catering award in the Bournemouth and Poole Tourism Awards in January. We certainly seem to be getting our name out there and our reputation is growing. It’s really heartening. We feel we must be doing something right.”
