Play a round

Consistently ranked among the top 100 courses in the British Isles by Golf World, the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club is set within a nature reserve where many rare plants and birds can be seen as you play a round.

The club has two magnificent heathland courses with stunning sea views.

The Dene Course is a 9 hole course ideal for golfers of all abilities. Beginners are welcome and the dress code is more relaxed than on the Purbeck Course. It has views over Poole and the 9th hole overlooks a wonderful valley with Swanage nesting at the bottom. Visitors playing the Dene are very welcome to use the clubhouse facilities both before and after play. Club hire for the Dene course is available from the Proshop.

The Purbeck Course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The Club dates back to 1892 and among the past owners who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of children’s books and her husband Dr Darrell-Waters.
