You can ONLY book the late May bank holiday online. At ALL other times the campsite is turn up and pitch. The fixed dates for online bookings are for three nights,
May Bank Holiday Friday 22nd May arriving from 12 noon and departing on Monday 25th May by 12 noon
IMPORTANT- Please bring your PayPal confirmation it will have your booking number on it. If you have booked for other families as well please ensure that they also have the relevant information to present on check in. Bank holidays are exceptionally busy times and only families that are pre booked and have proof of that booking will be admitted.
What time can we arrive?
Admission from 12 noon on the Friday until 9pm. Your weekend finishes at 12 noon on the Monday.
Can we arrive before the Bank Holiday?
Yes – you can arrive before the bank holiday and stay on over the bank holiday only if you have pre booked. Please ensure that you pitch up in the field that corresponds with your Bank Holiday weekend booking otherwise you may need to move. Please check with the staff in reception if in any doubt.
Can we stay after the Bank Holiday?
Yes – please come down to reception before midday on the Bank Holiday Monday and you will be charged the main campsite tariff if you want to stay on for a day or two. If you are in the Events Field please check with the staff as there may be a group booking due in meaning you may need to move pitch.
Will our pitches be together?
The vast majority of the time your pitches will be together, however, this is not guaranteed as we are a first come first serve campsite and this may not always be possible. We don’t have marked out or allocated pitches. If you are booking as a group you will need to ensure that everyone is booked into the same field ie Main Campsite or the Events Field field. Both fields are subject to certain number of pitches so we cannot swap families from one to the other.
Do we have to book for all three nights?
Yes -it is a set three night weekend event. You don’t have to stay all three nights but you will be charged for the whole weekend.
Are we allowed fires?
Yes, we do allow fires in controlled fire pits off the ground. We hire fire pits subject to availability from the shop or you may bring your own. If you have hired a fire pit from us you will pay a charge plus a cash deposit. You will need to return it to the shop to claim back your deposit between the times off 8-10 am or 4-7pm. Ground fires are strictly prohibited. Please respect this or you will be asked to leave without refund.
Which site is best for families?
We advise that families with small children book for the Main Campsite so they are closer to the facilities. Larger family groups should book for the Events Field as there is more space to gather together.
Will it be noisy?
We ask all of our guests to respect their fellow campers and have a no noise policy after 11pm. Please be aware that bank holidays are a particularly busy time and noise travels easily particularly at night. If you have any concerns speak to member of the Burnbake team.
Will there be enough facilities?
We have a newly refurbished toilets and shower block located at the main campsite with additional outdoor showers. We do provide porta loos on the events field where there are no main toilets. There may be queues for the showers at peak times.
Please note we do not refund for inclement weather although we do try and book the sunshine!
You need to park your vehicle next to your tent and display the pass card provided on the dashboard on display throughout the weekend. One car per pitch. If you have brought a second vehicle (which must be pre-booked and paid for) it may be that you will need to leave that car elsewhere.
Please note when we are at maximum capacity we can’t take day visitors on the site. If we have space we charge £5 per day and will issue you a day-card.
