Safari Tent – Terms & Conditions
Bookings & Payments:
All bookings via our online system should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email. To secure your booking, we require a deposit of £100. We only accept bookings from persons over 18 years of age. Burnbake reserves the right, always, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
Cancellations & Refunds:
We strongly recommend that you have appropriate holiday insurance cover in place and that you check the terms and conditions of your insurance to make sure it provides the cover you need. If you cancel within 8 weeks of your arrival date, we will try to re-let your accommodation. If we can do so without reducing the price, we will refund any monies paid for accommodation or issue a credit note to be used in 12 months.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday, we will do our best to offer you a suitable alternative; this might be alternative dates or alternative accommodation at Burnbake. If we’re unable to offer a suitable alternative or you do not wish to accept the alternative, your booking will be deemed cancelled, and we will refund you the total amount you’ve paid us for the booking. We will not be responsible for any other losses you incur linked to that change or cancellation.
If it becomes impossible to provide your holiday for the dates booked due to unforeseen events beyond our reasonable control, such as Government instruction to prevent the spread of a disease outbreak, we’ll do our best to offer you a suitable alternative.
Arrivals & Departure times:
Check in is from 3pm; checkout is 11am
Please arrive on your specified arrival date no earlier than 3pm.
Come to reception to check in and if this is after 7pm, please make prior arrangements with our team. We will send instructions 7 days prior to arrival. There will be two car parking spaces per a tent clearly marked in a parking area about a minutes’ walk from your tent. We will provide locked luggage trolleys in the guest car park and will issue the code prior to arrival. If you have mobility considerations and require help transferring your luggage to your accommodation, we will be glad to help – just let us know in advance.
These arrival and departure times enable us to thoroughly clean your accommodation. We kindly ask that you leave your accommodation tidy and place your rubbish and recycling in your bins. We ask for any damages to be reported to Reception as soon as possible.
Noise:
The safari tents are part of the wider campsite, and we have a noise policy curfew of 10:30pm. If your neighbours can hear you, it’s too loud.
In exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to ask a party to leave if there is repeated noise. This would mean that the terms of our contract with you will have been breached, so there would be no refund.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted at any time within safari tents or around the outside.
Candles & Fires:
Our fire pits are pegged to the ground, a safe distance from your safari tents. Please do not move them and please do not leave fires unattended. Paraffin lamps and candles are not permitted.
You can purchase logs and kindling from our shop.
Cleaning, Breakages & Damage:
Please leave your accommodation tidy and let us know if anything gets broken, so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear. If the damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment to make good the damage.
General Terms & Conditions
BBQs: disposable BBQs are prohibited at Burnbake. Gas and Coal BBQs in a tripod high off the ground only.
Dogs: we ask for dogs to be kept on a lead for the comfort of other guests and request you to clear up any deposits. We have dog bins spread around the site.
Vehicles: please follow any directional and speed limit signage and park with consideration vehicle charging is available by Reception, please pay during reception hours.
Litter: please remove all waste and litter to the refuse area.
Rope swings: please do not erect rope swings or other play structures in and around the site. They can be the cause of serious accidents. Please do make use of our play area and ensure that your children are adequately supervised.
