Our ultimate camping checklist will help you get the most out of your great outdoors adventure…

The Ultimate Camping Checklist
WHAT TO PACK

  • Tent & sleeping gear – the most important items! Your tent, groundsheet, sleeping bags, and pillows (yes, that’s right, pillows are gamechangers) for a comfy night’s sleep under the stars. And don’t forget Fido– pack a dog bed or blanket!
  • Flexible clothes & footwear – be prepared for ever-changing weather conditions by packing layers, waterproof jackets, sturdy hiking boots, and extra socks – for everyone!
  • Food & cookware – stock up on non-perishable food items, such as canned foods, pasta, and snacks, as well as cooking essentials like a portable stove, fuel, pots, pans, utensils, and a cooler to keep fresh food, fresh! Don’t forget to pack food and water bowls for your dog, along with their favourite treats, plus marshmallows for you to toast on the fire!
  • Bathroom essentials – soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, hand sanitiser (a must), and towels (we like the quick dry microfibre ones). Remember to bring biodegradable products to minimise your environmental impact when washing yourself – or your dishes!
  • First aid kit – accidents can happen, so have a well-stocked first aid kit with bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, insect repellent, sunscreen, and any necessary medications for your family and pets.
  • Navigation and lighting – tackle your ‘in the middle of the night wee’ with ease, bring flashlights, headlamps, lanterns, and those all-important spare batteries. Stay on course during the daytime adventures with a map, compass, or GPS device.
  • Fun stuff – keep the whole family entertained with games, books, playing cards, or a portable speaker for music. And don’t forget to pack a comfortable camping chair or hammock to unwind around the campfire.

So, there it is, all that’s left to do is pack your bags, grab your tent, and get ready to create lasting memories in nature’s playground! Oh, and you have booked your pitch, right?
