A community feast in Wareham

Wareham, Dorset, with Union Jack bunting.

What’s not to love about a good old-fashioned street party? It almost feels like a staple of British royal celebrations and it’s a wonderful way for people to come together for a special occasion.

Just a stone’s throw from our woodland campsite in Wareham, you’ll be able to join in with The Big Lunch. Across the country, local communities will be snacking in the street and Dorset’s no different – from 2.30pm on Sunday 7th May, pop down to North Street in Wareham and tuck in with locals, for a Coronation celebration to remember.

A wonderful weekend in Weymouth

Fireworks over the sea.

Home to one of Dorset’s most famous beaches, there’s always a party atmosphere to be found in Weymouth. It’s no surprise that the town is hosting plenty of celebrations this coming weekend. On Sunday 7th May, Weymouth will be ending things with a bang, thanks to an awe-inspiring firework display courtesy of its town council, following an afternoon of music on the beach at its Coronation Concert.

Don’t want the party to end just yet? The tunes are set to continue on Monday 8th May, thanks to Weymouth Youth Council and its local young musicians collective – join them from 12-8pm for a relaxed afternoon of music.

Fancy planning an adventure fit for a king? Book your pitch at our magical forest campsite and enjoy a weekend to remember.
